Differences between a Cover Letter and Resume (Blog 4)

A cover letter is almost the same as a resume but instead of applying to a college or university you’re applying for a company you want to work for. In the cover letter you have to explain about why you want to work for that company and why would you be good to work for them.  In a cover letter you could write up to 3 paragraphs or more if you wish. Your intro of why are you writing to them.  Body paragraphs of what you have to offer, and the conclusion how will you follow.  A cover letter is mostly likely like a letter to a company, including your contact information just in case they want to reach you. The difference between a resume and a cover letter is that a resume is more for a college and university that you want to apply too. It shows your objective, activities you have participated in school, and more information about you, that way the college/university could know you more.
